엑스포 남문광장 재창조는 3천 석 규모의 야외공연장을 조성하고 국내 최초로 움직이는 그늘막을 설치하는 사업으로 이를통해, 남문광장은 인근의 갑천, 엑스포다리, 한밭수목원, 시립미술관 등과 연계, 다양한 이벤트 문화공간으로 탈바꿈하게 될 것이다.
The Daejun South Gate Square has 3,000 seats in the exterior performance hall and has first planned to install a moving shade in Korea.Through this the South Gate Square will transform into a grand event space that could support and connect with the nearby expo bridges, the Hanbat arboretum and the city art museum.
